Classic bike and car night draws large crowds

A weekly meet-up for bike and car enthusiasts has drawn large crowds to Weymouth Esplanade.

The annual Weymouth Bike and Classic Car Night runs every Thursday from April – September 27 from 6pm - 8.30pm.

The event has been running for 13 years on the seafront by the Jubilee Clock Tower and at its peak attracts at least 200 bikes and between 30 and 40 cars per meet.

The most recent meet saw an impressive Indian Motorcycle in attendance covered in amazing artwork depicting a battlefield scene, soldiers and red poppies all over the bike.

People will often ride in from Southampton, Bristol or south Devon to visit the night.

Admission is £1.50 per bike and £3 for classic and American cars.
