The suggestion Leicester City have Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on their radar as they continue their search for a new manager has certainly got fans talking.

It has been reported that City have spoken to Solskjaer, who has been out of a job since his three-year spell at Manchester United ended in late 2021. Other names to have recently emerged as potential candidates to replace Enzo Maresca at the King Power Stadium include ex-Chelsea chief Graham Potter, former Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper and Davide Ancelotti - the son of and the right-hand man to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

However, Solskjaer’s name seems to have sparked most debate. The Norwegian had a much-scrutinised time in charge at Old Trafford, but United finished third and second in the Premier League table in his two full seasons in charge, while they were a penalty shoot-out away from winning the Europa League.

Solskjaer was recently linked with Turkish giants Besiktas, but they plumped for ex-Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst to fill their vacant post. Below is a look at what City supporters have been saying about the links to the 51-year-old on social media and on LeicestershireLive's website.

John O'Mahoney: Would you please put us out of our misery and name the new manager. So far about 20 are getting the job.
