Coast Guard Rescues Man From Capsized Boat Off Oregon Coast

Two surveyors were rescued from their capsized boat on Wednesday morning, April 25, off the shore of Brookings, Oregon.

Two men from Coos Bay were aboard the US Army Corps of Engineers’ survey boat Graham near the entrance to the Chetco River when their boat capsized around 1pm local time, according to this report. A local news station reported one of the men was able to swim to shore while the other was trapped underneath the boat for over 45 minutes, surviving on the air pocket created by the vessel.
