Colchester Bus Station has been cordoned off after assault reports

REPORTS of a woman assaulting a man with a bottle has left part of Colchester Bus Station being cordoned off.

Essex Police who are still at the scene have said: "Officers were called to Osborne Street in Colchester at around 2pm on Sunday June 30, following reports of a woman assaulting a man with a glass bottle.

"Officers remain on the scene to locate the suspect and Crime Scene Investigators are in attendance."

Officers are looking to locate the suspect and the victim.

A scene is in place at Stanwell Street due to blood being found.

Further information is currently unclear.
