Yahoo News Cold Feet's new trailer shows David held at gunpoint
Cold Feet fans had better prepare themselves for a tense beginning to the upcoming seventh series.
A new trailer shows a bloodied and terrified David being held at gunpoint, although the identity of his kidnapper is not revealed in the clip.
Happily he does appear to survive, as later on in the trailer he's seen announcing: "I've just been abducted."
There are actually quite a few punches being thrown in the trailer, so it looks like we might be in for a violent ride this year.
The trailer also sees Adam declaring that he's "going to get the hang of this life thing" – has he ever actually seen Cold Feet?
As declared in the clip, "Life is complicated."
Last year's series ended with Pete and Adam being caught up in a robbery, before Adam decided to embark on a relationship with Tina Reynolds.
The episode also saw Karen discover that her son Josh is gay.
The sixth series was the first full run of Cold Feet since 2003.
Series seven will see Pete (John Thomson), Karen (Hermione Norris), David (Robert Bathurst), Jenny (Fay Ripley) and Adam (James Nesbitt) all return for more disastrous dramas.
It looks like Adam and Tina might be ready to take the next step in their relationship, while Pete and Jenny have a big decision to make.
Happy Valley star Siobhan Finneran is also joining the cast, as troubled Cheshire housewife Nikki Kirkbright.
Cold Feet returns to ITV on Monday, September 11.
