Coleen Rooney backed by Wayne as she makes career change

Coleen Rooney has been publicly supported by her husband Wayne as she unveiled new career news on Friday.

The 37-year-old has been married to the former Everton and Manchester United star for 16 years, but is also a household name in her own right. Coleen, a mum-of-four, was inundated with deals after the high profile "Wagatha" court case in 2022.

Her most recent career roles have seen her writing a book, and appearing in her own dramatic documentary on Disney+, "The Real Wagatha Story", which aired last year.

Now Coleen has shared she will be the lead ambassador for a Liverpool-based sports brand. In an Instagram post, she told her one million followers: "I am really excited to announce that I am @appliednutrition’s newest brand ambassador.

"As a busy parent, I know first-hand how tough it can be to look after yourself and get the right nutrition needed for everyday life, so the convenience of having great supplements from Applied Nutrition are a massive help!"

Coleen added she wants to "ensure I am the healthiest version of me".

People have been quick to comment on the update, and husband Wayne was one of the first as he showed his support by simply posting praise hands and applause emojis. Fans have also had their say, as Lydia said: "Amazing" and Kelly said: "Love this, go girl".
