Coleen Rooney Boasts Eating Afterbirth Gave Her A Health Boost

Coleen Rooney has revealed eating her own placenta gave her postbaby energy, confidence and a trim figure.

The wife of footballer Wayne, below, had her afterbirth freeze-dried and converted to capsules days after third son Kit was born in January.

And she says it helped balance her hormones, boost milk production, stabilise her moods and control her weight.

The 30-year-old told the Daily Mirror: “They had a slightly metallic taste and they definitely made me feel energised.

“I felt full of very positive energy and it helped with a number of pregnancy symptoms such as the production of milk. I slept really well and they helped to stabilise my weight after having Kit. Everyone has a different reaction but in my case they were great.”

Two months after having Kit, Coleen was pictured with her sons Kai, six, above, left, and Klay, three, above right, in Barbados looking trim in a bikini.

She added: “I’m almost back to what I was before I had Kit but I do have a bit of a jelly belly. But there’s only so much you can do.

“I felt good. It didn’t bother me putting a bikini on.”
