'Competitive socialising' venue opening in Solihull with crazy golf, darts, shooting and bowling

A new 'competitive socialising' venue is opening this summer, offering fun and games for the whole family to enjoy. Spinners will boast everything from crazy golf and electric darts to clay shooting and bowling.

The idea is to bring 'countryside pursuits indoors', making it fun whatever the weather. There will also be artisan pizzas and loaded fries to tuck into together with desserts and cocktails too.

Spinners is opening at Touchwood Solihull on July 12 following a £1 million investment in the site. The new venue will be family friendly during the daytimes, welcoming under 18s before 6pm. Then, after 6pm, it will switch to adults only, allowing a 'relaxed space' for people to unwind into the evening.

Amy Trott, Head of Operations at Spinners UK, said: Solihull has a vibrant hospitality scene and we’re looking forward to being a part of it by bringing the Spinners concept to Touchwood. As our third location in the UK, we have pulled out all the stops for Solihull, which will feature our widest variety of games yet. My personal favourite is the clay shooting, but who doesn’t love a bit of crazy golf!”

Located next to Cineworld on Upper Jubilee Walk, Spinners promises a wide range of 'unique games in the Instagram-worthy setting'. There's Electric Clay Shooting and Electric Darts plus Duckpin Bowling, which has a reduced lane length and smaller pins and ball. Find out more and book via the Spinners website.

Tony Elvin, General Manager at Touchwood, said: “We are delighted to welcome Spinners UK to Touchwood, bringing a new, fresh and exciting leisure destination to the heart of Solihull. Throughout my time at Touchwood, we have been working hard to bring the right competitive socialising venue to the centre and I am so pleased we have been able to do just that with Spinners. As a local, I know how much of a demand there is for such a concept.

“The guest experience is more important now than ever to destinations like ours and this new addition helps us cement Touchwood’s position as a go-to location for friends, family and businesses alike. Spinners has seen tremendous success with its first two openings, and we look forward to helping continue that success here in Solihull.”

The new site comes after an investment of £1 million by Spinners, with support from HSBC UK to fit out the site. Spinners Solihull is the third of the hospitality group’s interactive bar offering, as part of its nationwide roll-out following successful launches in Reading and Plymouth.

Olha Payne, Business Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, added: “After supporting Spinners with its hugely successful opening in Plymouth last year, we are excited to continue our partnership with the business as it rolls out sites in Solihull and beyond. Experiential bars have proven immensely popular over recent years, and we only see this demand growing over time.”
