Confidence Man have announced details of their third album and shared a bombastic new video for first single ‘I Can‘t Lose You’.

Their new album 3AM (LA LA LA) will be released on October 18 via CHAOS/Polydor/I OH YOU and follows 2022’s TILT.

Of the world they want to inhabit on the album, the band’s Sugar Bones said: “It’s a fucked up sort of world. It’s 3am, it’s never not 3am, and we party all the time.”

Singer Janet Planet added that the band “wanted to dehumanise pop music and make it over the top and ridiculous again,” adding: “We wanted to revisit those sounds and then add pop hooks and vocals to them. I feel like that hasn’t really been done before, besides The Prodigy.”

In a recent in conversation feature for Rolling Stone UK with DJ BORING, Confidence Man discussed their upcoming third album and the infamous ‘cooked sessions’ that help them say productive.

Janet told us: “We go to Cecilia’s Café for lunch, that’s our ritual. Then we go to Mare St Market to do our lyrics. It has an outdoor smoking area which is vital for Sugar. We’re quite responsible, have a few margaritas, and then go to the studio. We have some good times and then start working on stuff. Usually at about 1am, stuff gets really good because you’re the right amount of cooked. Then it starts going downhill at about 3am, but one time we had a breakthrough at about that time, so now we’ll usually push forwards until about 9am.”
