Construction Crane Falls Into Holston River in Weber City

A construction crane fell into the Holston River in Weber City, Virginia, amid heavy rain and flooding in the region on Monday, April 24.

The crane was being used as part of an ongoing Virginia Department of Transportation project on US 23 in the city, according to a report. Officials were concerned the crane would tip over in the river and send floodwaters toward homes downstream.
