Containment Efforts Continue on Destructive Wildfire in Central Arizona

Crews continued to battle a wildfire in central Arizona on Friday, June 14, that has destroyed at least 15 structures, including seven homes, fire officials said.

Footage posted to X by Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management shows crews tackle the blaze, named the Rose fire, near Wickenburg on Wednesday afternoon.

“Thursday evening’s winds tested the line, but the fire stayed within its containment lines. Fire remains under investigation,” they wrote on the post.

By Friday, the Rose fire burned 166 acres and was 20 percent contained, according to official fire reports. The cause was under investigation. Credit: AZ State Forestry via Storyful
