Contract status of every Aston Villa player as four enter their final year
Forward planning is a key part of any club's strategy, and that's no difference at Aston Villa. They have no players who are leaving on a free this summer and only four whose contracts will end next summer, who are Calum Chambers, Kortney Hause, Robin Olsen and Viljami Sinisalo.
Last year, Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa, Leon Bailey, Ollie Watkins and John McGinn all penned new contracts. Meanwhile, manager Unai Emery has also committed his future to the club by signing off on a deal that will run until 2029.
Such continuity is just as important as snapping up new recruits to boost a squad, so Emery and his transfer team deserve a big slap on the back.
