Cordon erected around Middlesbrough pub after 'violent incident'
A cordon has been erected around a Middlesbrough pub after a “violent incident”.
Cleveland Police officers were called to the Jack and Jill pub, on Crossfell Road, Berwick Hills. The force said officers responded to reports of a violent incident which happened shortly before 6pm on Saturday, May 11.
A cordon has been erected around the venue as well as the footpath. One police car and officers remain at the scene “while the full circumstances of the incident are established”.

Cleveland Police released a statement online. A spokesperson said: “Cleveland Police are in attendance at the Jack and Jill pub in Crossfell Road, Middlesbrough, after officers responded to reports of a violent incident which happened shortly before 6pm today.
“Officers will remain at the scene for some time while the full circumstances of the incident are established. Members of the public are urged to avoid the area.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by dialling 101, quoting reference number CVP-24-087342.”
