Abi returns – but what does she have planned?
Abi is back and making profuse apologies to Kevin for taking the £2000. She promises him that the cash was for food and accommodation, not drugs. Nina also can’t help but have concerns, especially when she finds a notebook containing details of Corey’s training regime. After deciding to track down its owner, Nina ends up calling at No 13 to speak to Abi. But what does she have to say?
Imran’s big confession
Imran is feeling the pressure on two fronts: he’s being blackmailed by Sabeen to get information on Harvey’s case, while also adjusting to the prospect of a new four-year-old foster child arriving on his and Toyah’s doorstep.
In desperation, Imran tries to ingratiate himself with Rita in a bid to discover Sharon’s whereabouts. But when Rita sees through his efforts, Imran just ends up feeling wretched about himself and what he’s become.
In an attempt to get his life back on track, Imran then tells Sabeen that her blackmail has to stop. And following this, he also admits to Toyah that he recently had a one-night stand with “a stranger”. But will a mortified Toyah be able to forgive him?
Harvey vows revenge
Friday’s double bill will see Sabeen bursting into the solicitors’ office to tell Imran that she’s been accused of misconduct and has had all her cases taken off her. She then accuses her ex of forwarding her private texts to her boss, but when Imran finds that his phone is missing, he realises that Toyah must be responsible.
Aware that all this has compromised Harvey’s appeal, Peter and Toyah assure Simon that he’s no longer in danger. But, over at the prison, Sabeen is now telling Harvey that it’s Toyah who’s jeopardised his case.
It’s an admission that leaves the notorious drug dealer desperate to get payback on the Battersby sisters.
The Alahans’ family holiday drama
Dev is in the doldrums after asking Natasha for a date and being turned down, so Aadi suggests that they go on a lads’ holiday at a swish campsite.
Dev’s cheered up by the prospect, which is more than can be said for Aadi when his dad ends up inviting Asha along too. She’s upset after being rejected by Nina, so decides to accompany the guys. But fulfilling both Asha and Aadi’s holiday requirements soon proves to be something of a headache for Dev.
Johnny wants to leave
Jenny is enjoying the company of newcomer Leo, and Johnny can’t help but be glum. He feels that his life has lost its purpose but is thrilled when Carla tries to put some pep in his step with the offer of a consultancy job at the factory.
Later in the week, though, Johnny overhears Beth slagging him off to Carla and suggesting that he’s past it. As the scales fall, Johnny realises that Carla doesn’t in fact need his help at all and he tells her that it’s time he set off for pastures new.
