Coronation Street bosses have issued an update and said the "truth about Lauren's disappearance" is about to finally be revealed.

Fans of the long-running soap are being urged to "get ready for a huge week of drama on Coronation Street" as "Roy’s prison hell comes to a head and predator Nathan Curtis is firmly put on the police’s radar". Viewers will "discover what really happened on the fateful night that teenager Lauren Bolton disappeared", ITV bosses have said.

A new promo, which will air on ITV from later today, will show Corrie fans how the week will play out, with an episode each night next week (Monday-Friday, May 27-31)

The clip shows Sarah Platt determined to rid daughter Bethany of evil Nathan Curtis. As Bethany considers leaving Weatherfield for good, Sarah will go to any lengths to prove Nathan is behind Lauren’s disappearance.

Carla Connor and nephew Bobby are accused of perverting the course of justice as they desperately try to clear Roy’s name, while DS Swan has Nathan in her sights. Evidence against him is mounting, but is there more to this than meets the eye?

And far-right activist Griff will land himself back in prison, and set his sights on Roy Cropper, who has been wrongfully banged up on suspicion of Lauren's murder. Griff tries to force a confession, with Roy in grave danger.

But as Roy’s life hangs in the balance an invaluable piece of evidence which could clear the innocent café owner’s name will come to light in a shocking revelation for the viewers.
