Coronation Street fans think they have predicted a grim and grisly end to Lauren Bolton.

The runaway teenager has been missing for months now, with her former employer Roy Cropper in prison awaiting trial for her murder. For weeks viewers have campaigned for soap bosses to "Free Roy" with a number of Corrie stars also wearing t-shirts that bear the same two word slogan.

Bethany Platt is on a one-woman mission to find out what has really happened to Lauren. And when she went to a police reconstruction of the young woman's last movements, she was dealt a horrific blow.

She came face to face with her abuser Nathan Curtis who, as far as Bethany knew, was still in prison. Since then she has been trying to track him down, convinced he has something to do with Lauren's disappearance.

Her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne was not convinced, until they found Nathan - currently going by the name Joe - working on a nearby building site. And while some viewers think Lauren is going to turn up unharmed at some point, the setting of Friday's episode prompted some others to think the worst for Lauren.

On X, David said: "Lauren will be somewhere on that building site under 6ft of concrete" and Michael said: "I see cement... I really hope Lauren isn't under there". Dan said: "'Joe' has killed Lauren hasn't he?"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITVX
