While driving past Seb’s memorial garden later in the day, Nina spies Corey in there laughing on his phone. Wanting him dead, Nina feels compelled to act – but what will she do?
Kevin meets Seb’s dad Tez
After seeing the fragile state of Nina’s mental health, Kevin’s fears for Abi grow and he ends up informing the police of her disappearance. But the local mechanic is in for a shock thanks to a notification from the bank informing him of a £5k withdrawal from his and Abi’s joint account.
Sickened at the thought of what she’s doing with the cash, Kev heads to the Dog and Gun pub and asks the regulars whether they’ve seen Abi. But nobody has clapped eyes on her, not even Seb’s dad Tez, who swears she’s not been in contact.
But Kevin is convinced that Abi’s ex has lied and, on Friday, he tracks him down again and finds the guy in the middle of a drug deal. After taking a picture of Tez on his phone, Kevin demands that he reveal all that he knows or he’ll send the incriminatory photo to his probation officer.
Victory for James
James receives a letter from the police upholding his complaint and proffering an official apology. This surprise turn of events is swiftly followed by a visit to No 3 by PC Brody, who wants to say sorry in person. But when he insists that he’s not a racist, James explains that the officer made a judgement based on his appearance and that, in future, he ought to do better.
After County’s PR team also apologise for their lack of support, James points out that there need to be more black managers in the game. Realising that there’s an opportunity here, James ends up putting himself forward for management training – a move welcomed by the club, who agree to let him do his coaching badges while also continuing as a player.
