Bernie is up in court for handling stolen goods and, on Joel’s advice, she pleads guilty. But Paul, Gemma and Billy are left reeling when the judge states that, given Bernie’s record, a custodial sentence must be imposed.
Paul is distraught and begs the judge to reconsider, explaining about his MND and how he needs his mum to be around.
Audrey is selling up
Audrey has news to break on Wednesday: she’s selling the barbers so she can afford to buy back her house. And with her also set to return to the salon, this means that either David or Maria will have to go.
The two employees then try to talk Audrey round, as they’re worried about both her health and their jobs. But Audrey orders them out of the salon and locks the door behind them.
Asha is outraged
Asha and Nina are out enjoying drinks at the Chariot Square Hotel when they spy Courtney and Darren out together. Asha is horrified and leaps to her feet, accusing Courtney of cheating on Aadi.
But when Nina explains that Aadi and Courtney split up two weeks ago, Asha is outraged about the news having been kept from her.
Dylan does a runner
Sean presents Dylan with some designer trainers, but the teen is left feeling guilty when his dad reveals he sold some gear to pay for them. Under pressure from Mason, Dylan is then seen flogging some vape pens to other school kids – but when Hope tries to buy one, Liam points out that she’s only 12 years of age. Mason, though, intervenes and insists that Dylan sell her the vape.
When Sean then finds out what Dylan has been getting up to, he disposes of the vapes. But there’s further trouble when Tyrone and Cassie call round and, together with Sean, compel Dylan to reveal all about who’s been forcing him to sell the vapes.
When Sean suggests it’s Mason before threatening to contact the police, Dylan legs it. But when Dylan subsequently tells Mason that his dad got rid of the vapes, Mason orders him to hand over his new designer footwear.
Coronation Street airs on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and streams on ITVX.
