Kathy is arrested
The Beales have been left distraught in the aftermath of the fire, with Cindy aiming her ire at Kathy, who ends up being arrested by the police for her involvement in the blaze.

Kathy then remains at the police station to be questioned throughout the night. Soon she is seen regretting her decision not to employ the services of a solicitor. Back on the outside, a guilty Rocky is accosted by Harvey who encourages him to come clean. But following the conversation, Harvey himself decides to head to the police station.
Elsewhere, Ian is starting to wonder what the point of being with Cindy is after he discovers that she’s been comforted in the wake of what’s happened by George. And following a row, Cindy ends up sleeping over at the Vic…
Alfie returns
Alfie makes a return from Spain and heads to the hospital with Linda for the results of his PSA, the blood test that screens for prostate cancer.
But once back on the Square, he gets a hostile reception from Kat who lets rip about his disappearing act. However, when Alfie reveals the truth about what’s been going on, Kat soften and comforts her ex, before he decides to reveal his prostate cancer diagnosis to Tommy.
Phil, though, is worried about his own secret being revealed and accosts Alfie about Emma. But Alfie insists that, given the current situation, he has no interest in telling Kat.
Worrying news for Sharon
A paranoid Sharon agrees to let Keanu pick Albie up from pre-school and, once back at No 45, asks him to propose again, so she can accept. However, when news of the engagement breaks, Sharon tries to persuade Karen to join in the celebrations, but she refuses.
Later on, though, it is Sharon who’s left concerned when she receives a call from the hospital requesting an urgent appointment to discuss Albie’s test results. Once there, she and Keanu are stunned by the news they’re told and quickly agree to have tests themselves.
EastEnders isn’t yet revealing what it is that’s been disclosed but scenes to be shown on Thursday will find Sharon lashing out at Keanu for continuing with their engagement drinks before she tearfully reveals all to Zack about what’s going on.
Reiss left shocked by Sonia’s past
Sonia will be seen sympathising with Kathy’s current predicament, but the revelation that she was once imprisoned for murder leaves Reiss shocked.
In the end, Reiss’s constant questioning throughout the day results in Sonia snapping and ordering him home so she can reveal all.
Fundraising efforts revealed
Finally, Mitch rallies the Walford locals to raise some cash for Bernadette and Marie in the wake of the fire.
But by Wednesday, things are looking up, at least for Bernadette who, thanks to Kathy, gets a job at the Queen Vic, where Elaine has decided to start serving breakfasts while the café is out of action.
