But, on Monday, DS Swain will be seen telling Amy and Aadi that they need to accompany her to the police station. With solicitor Dee-Dee brought in to represent her, Amy is then warned that she could be facing five years in prison.
But thankfully for Amy, Aadi stands by her. And in the wake of the ordeal, Aadi will be seen leaning in for a kiss, which Amy reciprocates, only for her to then become panicked and overcome with emotion.
Peter attacks Dylan
It’s another busy week for the Weatherfield teenagers, with the focus initially being on Liam, who’s framed by Mason for the theft of Dylan’s trainers. But when Gary gets involved, Mason ups the ante, even going to the extent of threatening Liam with a knife.
Then, on Friday, Mason orders Dylan to steal a box of vape pens from a pallet that Simon is sorting through.
However, once Peter realises that the mastermind behind the theft is a mate of Dylan’s, he starts hammering on the door of No 11. Mason then goads Peter and suggests he’ll run him over in his car — at which point Peter loses it completely, breaks down the door and makes a grab for Dylan.
Carla is forced to negotiate
Carla informs Sean and Beth that she’s paid their wages for the previous month, and if they return to work, they’ll get the cash for this month too. But rather than bite her hand off, the pair tell Carla that they’ll think about it.
By Friday, Sean is letting slip that Carla had to bung him and Beth extra cash to get them back to the factory. It’s an admission that results in Peter having a go at Carla for not sharing her work troubles with him or even caring what he thinks. Carla, for her part, is left shocked by her partner’s outburst.
Will Ed’s fraudulent actions be discovered?
On Friday, Ed is promising his cohort Tony that he’ll be paid that day, but his panic is set to rise when he goes to pay for a coffee and Norris’s card is declined.
Michael then opens a letter addressed to Norris Cole which states that his credit card has been frozen due to there being suspicious activity. Will Ed’s gambling be exposed?
Attack of the green-eyed monster for Nina
Asha reveals on Wednesday that she’s spending the day with Isla to go through some coursework followed by a spot of dinner.
Upon hearing this, Nina admits that she’s jealous, but Asha is quick to reassure her that there’s nothing to worry about as she and Isla are merely friends.
More bad news for Bernie
The week ends with Bernie being told by solicitor Joel that she needs to prepare herself for a custodial sentence.
What this means, of course, is that Bernie will be away while Paul’s health declines further and she’ll be seen breaking the news to Gemma that, if she gets locked up, she’ll miss Paul’s last Christmas.
Coronation Street airs on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and streams on ITVX.
