Despite Fiz saying 'yes', it turns out that planning for the wedding day itself is something that’s filling her with dread. Her wish is that they could just skip straight to the ceremony.

Hope’s spooky séance
Watch: Coming up on Coronation Street...
The journalist who wrote the John Stape book turns up to apologise and hands Fiz a bag that contains all his research. He wants her to have it so that it never falls into the wrong hands, so Fiz asks Chesney to hide the bag’s contents at his house – hence Fiz stuffing it all into a cupboard.

The trouble is, Hope then suggests to Joseph that they hold a séance to contact her Dad. And as the spooky ceremony takes place, Joseph reaches into the cupboard for some biscuits, only for the jiffy bag containing the John Stape research to fall out.
All three are freaked out, but this doesn’t stop Hope from later getting hold of a cassette player so she can listen to a tape of John found among the journalist’s material.

Playing a cruel trick, Stephen decides to send an abusive text to his own phone but make out that it came from Gabrielle.
When Elaine then suggests that Gabrielle is gaslighting him, Stephen makes out that it’s only what he deserves. But Elaine tells him that she too was in abusive relationship and so wants to now help Stephen. But does this support stretch to her providing him with a large amount of money?
