Will Fern fall into Bernie’s trap?
Bernie is trying to lure Fern in and suggests to Howard and Dev that they throw a party to mark the fake lottery win and post pictures online. So, in the Bistro, Howard, Gemma, Paul and Bernie end up staging a celebratory bash.
Howard then calls at No 5 with the good news that Fern has been in touch and wants to meet him in Freshcos car park.
But as Bernie waits at a nearby bus stop, a van screeches alongside her and out jumps a guy who throws a bag over her head and bundles her into the back of the vehicle. Bernie screams, realising the danger she’s in, but will she be heard?
Gemma, meanwhile, finds her suspicions aroused when Howard subsequently calls at No 5 again and lets slip the value of the stolen jewellery. Gemma realises that only the thief would know the loot’s value – so how come Howard is aware?
Yasmeen and Stu’s united front
Vandalism at the restaurant leaves Stu more convinced than ever that he should find somewhere else to live.
But, on Monday, Yasmeen admits to Stu that she still has feelings for him and if he were to share her bedroom, there would then be a spare room for Eliza.
Wednesday’s drama then finds a social worker calling at No 6 and approving Eliza’s new home before stating that she can move in immediately. But how will Stu react when Eliza asks whether she can visit her mum?
Exciting job offer for Alya
Adam offers Dee-Dee a job at the solicitors’ and she accepts – depending on the salary on offer.
She also suggests to Alya that she’d happily take her on as her legal secretary and train her up. And when Yasmeen finds out about what Dee-Dee has planned, she urges Alya to seize the opportunity and jump on board.
All change at the Bistro?
Debbie reveals to Ronnie that she’s had only two offers on her hotels, so he suggests that he sell her share of the Bistro to avoid bankruptcy.
Debbie’s next move is to tell Nick her plans and reveal that he has a week to make her an offer. But after examining their finances, Nick and Leanne find that they can’t afford to put forward much in the way of a bid.
Following a chat with a broker, Debbie then concludes that selling half a business will be tricky – and so encourages Nick and Leanne to flog their share too.
