Once Mike unlocks the nursery door, he finds Summer unconscious. And when Esther arrives home, she demands to know what’s going on before calling an ambulance.

Mike spins a tale about how he detained Summer in the hope he could change her mind about the surrogacy plan. But once the teenager has been taken to a hospital, a concerned Aggie overhears Mike giving a false name for Summer, so she decides to contact Billy.

Later on, Todd and Paul are left horrified when they find Mike at Summer’s bedside. And when Mike tries to hurry out, the pair follow him back to his home where a confrontation ensues. Paul will be seen losing his temper and shoving Mike, who falls and hits his head on a plant pot. As Mike lies motionless, viewers will be left wondering whether Paul has accidentally killed him!

When Sam finds Hope in the café listening to her John Stape cassette, she explains that by listening to her Dad’s voice, she hopes to get to know him better. But there’s devastation ahead for Hope when, once back home, the tape unspools.

Tyrone subsequently manages to fix it, but when he presses play, he and Fiz are left slack-jawed with shock as John’s voice fills the room. Sam then explains Hope’s reasons for listening to the cassette, but how will the grown-ups in the room react?

Amy then reveals Jacob has left town after their break-up, which came about due to his drug dealing. Simon reckons Amy’s had a lucky escape, whereas Carla is surprised and dismayed in equal measure by the news that Jacob has fallen back into his old ways.

Damon wants Nick and Leanne to come up with some new ideas to improve business. And while Leanne is won over, Nick can’t help but feel circumspect.

Later on, Ryan reveals that, according to his mate in Ibiza, Damon is a known drug dealer and once put a rival club owner in hospital. It’s news that leaves Nick fretting, and when he confronts Damon, he tells him that drugs won’t be allowed in the Bistro. But Damon makes it clear that Nick has no choice – unless he wants Leanne to find out where the cash injection came from…
