Next week on Coronation Street: Will Mellor's debut scenes revealed, plus Tyrone gets closer to Alina (spoilers)
From Hollyoaks to Weatherfield – just what is actor Will Mellor up to on the cobbles?
Plus a fresh health crisis for Peter and Sean gets hoodwinked; it’s your guide to the latest Coronation Street spoilers 8-12 March:
Peter is back in hospital
Just when we thought Peter was destined to have a quiet life doing jigsaws with a blanket over his shoulders, he goes and has what Steve thinks is a relapse and gets rushed to hospital.
But for once in his sorry life, Peter hasn’t actually fallen off the wagon. Rather, his disorientation is down to toxins arising from his liver failure. Steve, though, gets it in the neck from Ken for presuming that Peter was drunk. And Carla is left wondering whether she should start a new life in Devon with Lucas after he stuns her with a surprise offer.

Peter is insisting that Carla not stay with him out of pity. But who’s to say that Carla won’t also become a massive fan of jigsaws if she gave them half a chance?
Enter Will Mellor…
Male Corrie villains are all of a type – stubble, black coat, dark hair, hard stare... And actor Will Mellor is very much of the same ilk, as he makes his debut as local drugs lord Harvey.
In his first episode, he puts the frighteners on Simon by demanding to know whether he's aware that Jacob is ripping him off. The trouble is, Si feels that it’s now too late to try and extricate himself from this seedy lifestyle, what with him owing £2,000. And then there’s the not insignificant matter of some pills he’s sold having landed Kelly in hospital.
Leanne, though, thinks she can sort the situation out – and when the blood of a Battersby starts to boil, maybe even underworld thugs ought to start quaking. Though with Mellor having been booked by Corrie for a four-month stint, it looks as though Harvey will be adding a sense of menace to the Street for a good while yet.
Sean is in too deep
Have you noticed how every scene featuring Sean seems to end with him getting in a huff, chucking a tea towel over his shoulder, turning on his heel and storming off? Well, I reckon we can expect a surplus of Sean strops when Eileen tells him that he can’t store his pyramid-scheme merchandise at No 11.
Sean is convinced that riches are coming his way, a feeling compounded when his boss Rhydian shows up driving a flash car. But Todd, who’s the dictionary definition of an untrustworthy shyster, knows a con man when he sees one. He tells Eileen that Rhydian has merely leased the motor to trick mugs like Sean.
But it’s looking doubtful that Sean can be made to see that he’s being taken for a fool.
Alina’s puppy love
Soap writers don’t seem able to write domestic harmony. So as soon as we get a spot of wedded bliss, in they come with an extra-marital affair storyline. Now, I’m not saying that Tyrone and Fiz are the romance of the century, but did we really need him playing away with Alina Pop?
There’s not been any cheating as yet, though I think we can all guess where their burgeoning friendship is headed. Expect those looks of barely suppressed longing to intensify when Alina learns that her pet dog in Romania has died and Ty offers a shoulder to cry on. Are those the hounds of love we hear baying?
