The boyfriend of Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank joked 'this is real life' as he was seen on the cobbles. The actor and his beau Jordan Coulthard were among the ITV soap's stars and their loved ones enjoying a 'wellbeing day' on the famous street over the weekend.

Cast members and other members of the programme's vast team were able to bring their nearest and dearest along to the iconic set on Sunday (May 12) where they appeared to enjoy a fun day on the iconic cobbles with picture opportunities aplenty.

It meant Daniel was able to take musician Jordan along and it wasn't just humans as the cast and crew's beloved pets also got in on the action with Daneil's adorable dachshunds Colin, Doris and Jean also making the trip.

Taking to Instagram, Jordan shared a snap of the couple and their pet pooches outside Preston's Petals, which Corrie fans will know is Tracy Barlow's flower shop, and above is the location of Daniel's character Billy Mayhew's flat which he shares with his husband Paul Foreman, played by Peter Ash.

Captioning the cute snap, Jordan brilliantly wrote: "Picture on a fictional street outside the fictional flat in which my real-life partner's fictional character lives with his fictional husband and fictional daughter." He added: "This is real life."

And Corrie fans and Jordan's followers were quick to respond. @ronaterdude said: "Oh I thought it was real." @psychictracey joked: "What you saying it’s not a real place? Na I’m not having that." Corrie's head of hair and makeup Gillian Walsh also quipped: "It is real … isn’t it?" @itsourcraigy__ added: "When the worlds of fact and fiction collide."

Last month, Jordan released his first self-penned single and he's already amazed at the response. Jordan, who goes by just his surname Coulthard as an artist, released catchy dance track Climax to much praise from fans. It's the first song he's written himself, after enjoying chart success with his debut tracks which were both cover versions.

He recorded it at the Manchester home he now shares with Daniel and told how it was the soap star whohas given him the confidence boost he needed to realise his musical ambitions. "Dan is so supportive and while I started all this stuff with my music way before me and Dan knew each other, I think to be honest he has given me the kick up the backside I needed," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"He lives in a different world to me, and he said 'it is absolutely achieveable' in terms of my music goals. Where I grew up was a tiny town, and having these dreams of releasing music, they were like 'yeah that's great but you need a real job.' Dan has really ignited something in me, to realise that this isn't an out there goal, it can happen, he's been one of my biggest supporters."
