Coronation Street's 'gorgeous' Dee-Dee star declared love by co-star on special day

Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown was getting all the love from her co-stars on her special day which saw many united for a night out. The actress was celebrating her birthday this week with the Dee-Dee Bailey star turning 27 on Thursday (April 18).

Channique is currently among those at the forefront of the action in the ITV soap as the Weatherfield solicitor attempts to help Roy Cropper as he was charged with the murder of Lauren Bolton following the teenager's disappearance back in February.

But on Thursday, she took time out from her filming duties to celebrate her special day with a number of her co-stars. She shared a picture to her Instagram Story as she marked her birthday, also with a group of friends, and said: "The best evening with the best people."

Some of the stars spotted enjoying the celebrations were also Cherylee Houston (Izzy Armstrong), Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew), Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Alison King (Carla Connor), Paddy Bever (Max Turner), Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan) and Mollie Gallagher (Nina Lucas)

Meanwhile, some took to their social media accounts to share public messages with the birthday girl, including Tanisha. Sharing a selfie of the pair looking all glam while in a lift, the soap star gushed: " "Happy birthday to this gorgeous woman. I hope you have a day as fabulous as you. Love you lots and lots like jelly tots."

Harriet Bibby, who played Summer Spellman in the ITV soap before her recent exit, also shared a string of pictures to her Instagram Story of the pair together and said: "Happy birthday to my gorgeous friend! Love you Chan," adding a red heart emoji.

It comes after Channique revealed she was suffering an injury while filming her and Roy's recently aired court scenes. After the scenes aired, Channique, who joined the ITV soap back in 2022, shared pictures taken on the day - including selfies with Joel Deering and Carla Connor actors Calum Lill and Alison King - as they filmed the court scenes on location when she revealed all about what was going on behind the scenes.

The soap star captioned the post on Instagram: "Little BTS on tonight’s episode. So much fun filming these big scenes on location as Roy’s Solicitor Advocate, love getting a to play the other side of DeeDee. And I did the whole thing on crutches so if I look like I’m hobbling, it’s because I am. Anyway Free our Roy #roycropperisinnocent."
