Coronation Street's Leanne sparks concern as she nearly gets run over

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby leaves Nick Tilsley concerned for her wellbeing in tonight's episode (February 19).

Leanne (Jane Danson) puts herself in danger as she continues to obsess over white feathers that she keeps finding around the flat.

The grieving mum is struggling following the death of her young son Oliver and believes that the feathers could be messages from him.

In Friday's hour-long episode, Leanne happily reports to Simon (Alex Bain) that she has found another feather and believes this is Oliver's way of letting her know that he's fine.

Simon is pleased to see that the feather has lifted his mum's spirits, as Leanne talks about getting out of the flat and turning her life around.

Later, though, Leanne worries as she drops one of her feathers in the street and she immediately chases after it.

Leanne runs out into the road without looking – almost getting knocked over by Mary Taylor, who's driving the Preston's Petals van.

Nick (Ben Price), who's spending time with his son Sam (Jude Riordan), witnesses the whole thing and is clearly concerned to see Leanne in such a bad way.

As Leanne's day continues, she's confused as Brian Packham approaches her to complain about a recycling breach.

Brian explains that Simon has dumped a ripped pillow in the recycling bin, where it doesn't belong. It dawns on Leanne that Simon has been placing the feathers around the flat to give her false hope.

As tensions reach boiling point in the aftermath, Leanne slaps Simon. With their home life at rock bottom, where do they go from here?

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
