Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor has shared some exciting family news. The actress took a break from the ITV soap on Monday to join the Loose Women panel.

The soap star, known for her role as Sally Metcalfe, appeared on the lunchtime show alongside Charlene White, Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards. She was pressed on rumours regarding her eldest daughter's romantic life.

It comes after she posted a photo on Instagram earlier this month of Bridgerton star Phoebe looking smitten with her boyfriend Cameron Fuller, reports Manchester Evening News.

The 29-year-old actress first sparked dating rumours with actor Cameron, 28, last year. However the couple have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye.

Earlier in February, Cameron, who is the son of A Quiet Place producer Brad Fuller, accompanied Phoebe to the BAFTA Film Awards in central London. Now, it seems the couple are ready to take their relationship to the next level, with Phoebe spotted wearing a sparkling ring on her 'engagement finger', a detail that E! News highlighted on the red carpet.

In the photo shared by Sally, Phoebe can be seen lovingly embracing Cameron, her hand gently resting on his cheek and one foot lifted off the ground in joy. Cameron holds her close, his hands wrapped around her waist, both of them smiling against the backdrop of a beautiful rainbow.

Whilst there hasn't been an official confirmation yet, Phoebe was seen flashing a sparkler on what appears to be the traditional engagement finger at the MET Gala and Cameron shared an intimate photograph of the couple's proposal moment on Instagram.

The shoot featured him surprising his unsuspecting partner from behind on a stone balcony. Sally Dynevor, Phoebe's mother, then confirmed the joyful news on Loose Women.

She proudly announced: "My daughter has just got engaged ... He's gorgeous, he's such a lovely man. I'm so, so happy. I'm thrilled, it's actually made my year."

Sally also declared her intent to remain hands-off in the wedding planning process to allow the soon-to-be-newlyweds to create their own dream day. She added: "To be honest, I'll be keeping well out of it."

Post-wedding, Sally is looking forward to becoming a grandmother. The beloved soap actress, who is married to scriptwriter Tim Dynevor and also has two additional children, expressed her eagerness saying, "I can't wait for my grandchildren, [although] let's not jump ahead!"
