Coronation Street's Sean Tully is set to be viciously attacked after feuding with Paul Foreman.

In scenes to air next week, the hairdresser – played by Antony Cotton – will be punched just hours after tensions between the pair reach boiling point.

And with Sean and Paul exchanging furious words just before his untimely assault, it remains to be seen if Paul is responsible for the attack...

Before the attack, Sean prepares to go on a date but Paul interferes by sending a cheeky text from Sean's phone to the guy he's meeting.

The following day, Sean tells Paul that his date was kissing someone else before he even got there and furiously confronts Paul in front of a wearied Billy, blaming his text for ruining things.

Summer later suggests they should all go to the Weatherfield Light Festival, and, while Billy and Sean are up for it, Paul seems to be fed up playing happy families with Sean.

Later in the week, Sean jumps to the wrong conclusion and accuses Paul of stealing the medical centre charity box.

And after the police come to quiz Paul about the theft, Billy has to stop him from pouncing at Sean.

A shaken Sean then heads into the ginnel, where he is punched in the face. But just who is the culprit?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
