Coronation Street's Tim discovers that Faye attacked Adam

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe is horrified next week as he discovers the truth about Adam Barlow's attack.

Viewers have recently seen Tim's daughter Faye Windass revealed as the culprit behind Adam's attack, as she lashed out at him in a case of mistaken identity last month. The teen's brother Gary has since decided to take the blame for her.

In next week's episodes, Tim (Joe Duttine) gets drawn into the saga when the police pay him a visit to ask questions about the rucksack that was in Gary's possession when he was arrested.

Tim is surprised to learn that the bag contained the weapon that was used in the attack on Adam.

Although Tim doesn't have any useful information to share, he does start quizzing Faye (Ellie Leach) over her link to the attack.

Faye initially denies all knowledge of what happened, but her difficult week gets worse when she starts to suspect that she may be pregnant with Ray Crosby's baby.

Tim visits Faye at Maria's flat and is suspicious when he spots his daughter's pregnancy test.

This leads to Faye revealing everything, including how Ray tried to rape her and that she subsequently attacked Adam in a case of mistaken identity.

Tim is left in despair over the revelations and goes to visit Gary (Mikey North) in prison.

Revealing that he knows everything, Tim suggests to Gary that they should tell the police the truth.

Gary dismisses this idea, insisting that they have to bury the truth for Faye's sake. Will Tim agree to this?
