Gal Gadot leads star-studded cover of John Lennon's Imagine to raise spirits during coronavirus pandemic

Gal Gadot has been joined by a horde of her famous friends for a cover of John Lennon's Imagine to promote unity amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Wonder Woman star posted the video of the stars, including Natalie Portman, Will Ferrell and Mark Ruffalo, singing lines of the 1971 song in turn while in isolation.

Speaking in the footage shared to her Instagram page, Gadot said: “These past few days got me feeling a bit philosophical.

"You know this virus has affected the entire world, everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from. We’re all in this together."

She captioned the post: "We are in this together, we will get through it together. Let’s imagine together. Sing with us. All love to you, from me and my dear friends. #WeAreOne"

Gadot subsequently tagged the A-list contributors which also included: Pedro Pascal, Jamie Dornan, Zoe Kravitz, Chris O’Dowd, Dawn O'Porter, Leslie Odom Jr, Eddie Benjamin, Ashley Benson, Lynda Carter, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Norah Jones, Kaia Gerber, Cara Delevingne, Annie Mumolo, Labrinth and Maya Rudolph.

The Israel-born actor told followers she had taken inspiration of a viral video from Italy which saw a man play Imagine on his trumpet while quarantined neighbours joined in.

The outbreak of the virus has seen the release dates of many films delayed or cancelled, include those of the next James Bond film No Time To Die, Fast and Furious 9 and A Quiet Place Part II.

However, Gadot’s superhero sequel Wonder Woman 1984 has thus far kept its first release date of 5 June.
