Coronavirus: Harry Styles is selling 'stay home' T-shirts for £21

Harry Styles is joining the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

In a bid to raise money to help fight Covid-19, the former One Direction star is selling £21 T-shirts on his official website.

The plain white tee features a black slogan printed both on the front and back. On the front, it reads: “Stay home. Stay safe. Protect each other,” and on the back: “This T-shirt fights COVID-19 treat people with kindness.”

On the website, it explains that 100 per cent of profits from sales will be donated to the World Health Organisation’s Solidarity Response Fund which is powered by the UN Foundation.

“In times like these, it is more important than ever to remember the power of people,” Styles said in a statement.

“If you are able to help, please donate where you can. Stay home, self-isolate, and protect each other.”

This is not the first time the "Adore You" singer has donated to charity. Earlier this year, Styles launched the Treat People With Kindness (TPWK) movement and created a range of merchandise, including a hair tie set, with profits distributed to local charities around the world.

A portion of the money made from his ticket sales was also donated to various charitable organisations such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Help Refugees and Spread a Smile.

Last month, the 26-year-old shared a message on Instagram explaining that he would be cancelling his "Love On Tour" due to coronavirus.

“Anyone who knows me, knows that performing has always been my favourite part of working in music,” he explained.

“However, during times like these, the safety and protection of touring crew, fans, and everyone else around the world is an immediate priority.

“For obvious reasons, the upcoming tour in the UK and Europe will be rescheduled to 2021. Tickets already purchased will be valid for these shows. In the meantime, we will be closely monitoring the situation around the world and will continue updating you in the months to come.”

Styles also recently revealed to Capital FM breakfast show host Roman Kemp that he was currently stuck in California after being unable to fly back to the UK after President Donald Trump banned travel between the US and Europe.

“I’m actually in California, I got stuck,” he said.

“I was supposed to be coming home then it all got a bit sketchy with the flights.”
