Coronavirus news - live: 570 deaths in England, over 1,000 new cases in Scotland and UK variant found in Japan

Data released by the Department for Health and Social care shows a further 570 people in England have died after testing positive for Covid-19, while 31,560 new infections have been reported.

This news comes as over 1000 new cases are announced in Scotland.

At the other end of the country, military troops are being deployed in Dover to help test and move the hundreds of hauliers who are stuck at the Channel border.
