Coronavirus: UK cases rise to 673,622, with 138 more deaths

The total number of coronavirus cases in the UK has risen by 18,980 to 673,622, according to government figures.

A further 138 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, bringing the total to 43,293.

Separate figures published by the UK's statistics agencies show there have now been 58,500 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
