Yahoo News Corrie's Aidan messes up again by trying to kiss Alya
Coronation Street's Aidan Connor makes a move on Alya Nazir next week as he tries to get his life back on track.
Aidan lost everything last month when Underworld was robbed thanks to the scheming antics of Eva Price and Adam Barlow.
Seeing no way out of this mess, Aidan hits the bottle next week in a desperate bid to drown his sorrows.
When Adam can't resist goading his enemy even further, Aidan snaps and tries to start a fight – which is only stopped when his dad Johnny steps in to drag him home.
Fortunately, a pep talk from Johnny soon lifts Aidan's spirits and he suggests to Alya (Sair Khan) that they should set up a new business together.
Despite Alya's boyfriend Luke Britton sharing his unease over the suggestion, she decides to brainstorm ideas with Aidan and it looks like there's a real chance of moving on with his life.
However, when Aidan then tries to mix business with pleasure and moves in for a kiss with Alya, is he pushing his luck too far? Will he undo all the positive progress he's just made?
Shayne Ward, who plays Aidan, revealed: "When Aidan suggests teaming up with Alya, it's just business on his mind. Johnny gives Aidan a pep talk and it's tough love, so he makes Aidan think about starting a business again.
"Aidan knows he has already found something good in Alya because she is great with designs. But because he is eager to get things back on track and to prove to people that he can do this, he makes a pass at Alya!
"Aidan does it because it's the first good thing that is happening to him that he's had. He is caught up in the moment and he looks at Alya. Luke won't respond well to it if he finds out!"
Asked what advice he'd give to Aidan, Shayne replied: "I would do what Johnny does and give him a pep talk. I would tell Aidan that he is better than this. Whether he will get his girl back and start again, who knows, but I would encourage him to get his business back and get people their jobs back. And that's what he wants to do."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
