Yahoo News Corrie's Liz blackmails Toyah over the pub tonight
Coronation Street's Liz McDonald resorts to blackmail tonight (October 16) as she tries to improve her working conditions at The Rovers.
Liz (Beverley Callard) couldn't be happier to be back behind the bar pulling pints for the punters – but she's not so pleased over new landlady Toyah Battersby giving her all of the difficult jobs to do.
In tonight's Corrie double bill, Toyah (Georgia Taylor) despairs over the future of the pub after her disastrous meeting with Tom Ridley last week.
Tom is threatening to withdraw Newton & Ridley beer from The Rovers after Toyah's bad attitude – and Liz is quick to stir the pot by warning that he may well follow through with his warnings.
When Toyah and Peter realise that their loyal customers won't be happy with a sudden change in their beer supply, they beg Liz to appeal to Tom on their behalf.
Liz has years of history with Tom to use to her advantage, but she has a few demands in return for helping the couple out.
Not holding back, Liz hints that she'll only intervene if she doesn't have to work in the toilets, cellar or kitchen anymore – leaving Toyah in despair over her antics.
Later on, Liz meets up with Tom for dinner – but can she turn around the pub's fortunes and make life a little easier for herself in the process?
Coronation Street airs tonight (October 16) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
