Yahoo News Corrie confirms potential new target in cult storyline

Coronation Street has confirmed that The Institute will target another resident next week, as the cult continues to make its presence felt in Weatherfield.
With Leanne Battersby becoming increasingly involved with The Institute and influential member Rowan Cunliffe, her sister Toyah and partner Nick Tilsley have been growing more and more worried about the hold that the cult seems to have over Leanne.
With Toyah's life having been made a misery by The Institute, she's left horrified by a new development in scenes that air next week.

As university student Amy Barlow reveals how stressed she is over her workload and busy schedule on the student radio station, Leanne decides to try to help relieve her stress by showing her an Institute video.
Toyah is disturbed when she comes across Amy watching the video, particularly when she realises that Amy is considering investing in The Institute.
Has the cult claimed another victim, or will Toyah be able to stop Amy from getting involved in their shady dealings?

With Toyah having spent weeks being targeted by The Institute after she tried to expose their unpleasant behaviour, she and Nick are now being blackmailed after one of Rowan's associates photographed them sharing a secret kiss.
With Rowan having made it clear that he could share the scandalous photos with Leanne at any time, Toyah and Nick have been left feeling trapped by the group – and the plot will take another turn next week when Toyah is rushed to hospital.
After Toyah experiences severe stomach pain and collapses, Nick and Leanne are at her bedside when the doctor delivers two pieces of shocking news.
Could Toyah and Nick's big secret be in danger of being exposed as the stress on Toyah builds?
