Yahoo News Corrie reveals Steve and Tracy's Christmas passion
Coronation Street has revealed a first look at Steve McDonald's Christmas reunion with Tracy Barlow.
Fans were shocked recently when show boss Kate Oates announced plans for Steve and Tracy to reignite their passion over the festive period.
These new pictures show the moment that the pair grow closer again, with all previous animosity and bickering between them forgotten – at least for now!
It all kicks off at the Christmas carol concert, where Tracy (Kate Ford) cheekily takes out a hip flask to help her and Steve get through the service.
As they get tipsy, Tracy and Steve (Simon Gregson) end up giggling like naughty schoolchildren – with the old chemistry between them obviously back.
Later on at The Rovers, the amusement continues when Tracy discovers that Steve has used a dating app to find his perfect woman – and the photofit that's come up looks just like her.
An irritated Steve goes all-out to prove to Tracy that he can do much better, but when he fails to impress a glamorous stranger, Tracy finally makes her move and drags him off home with her.
When Kate Oates announced this storyline a few weeks ago, she confirmed that Steve and Tracy's daughter Amy won't be impressed by their antics – knowing that the reunion is bound to end in tears.
Will Amy be proved right over the Christmas holidays, or can Steve and Tracy defy expectation?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, December 22 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
