Yahoo News Corrie star has big warning over Daniel and Sinead
Coronation Street star Rob Mallard has hinted that his character Daniel Osbourne could be making a huge mistake if he ends up reuniting with Sinead Tinker.
The unlikely pair were together briefly earlier this year, but Sinead returned to Chesney Brown after the truth came out about Daniel nearly killing his dad Ken.
Future Corrie episodes will see the love triangle revisited once again, especially with Chesney and Sinead's wedding on the way. With some big twists and turns coming over the next few weeks, the big question is whether Sinead is actually better off with Daniel.
Speaking about the storyline, Rob revealed: "Sinead is Daniel's first love, so there will always probably be a spark there. I suppose a lot of it is wanting what you're not allowed to have.
"But Ken hit the nail on the head when he said that it was a lot like him and Deirdre, in that there was no meeting of minds there. A little bit of me thinks that it's more of a prophecy than anything else and that, if they do go down that route, it will come true.
"Daniel would one day realise that they have very little in common mentally, in terms of their interests and what they want to do.
"If Daniel achieved the goal of winning back Sinead's affection, he's got what he wants – so then you have to want something else after that. I think that's where it will show up.
"When Daniel realises what it is that he actually wants to do beyond that, which would take him off into other places, I think those divides will be shown there."
Asked why Daniel thinks he can make Sinead happier than Chesney can, Rob replied: "Because she's already done it with Chesney and if it was good enough, she wouldn't have come away from it in the first place, would she? You don't play away if you're entirely satisfied."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
