Yahoo News Corrie star Kym Marsh responds to calls for Michelle to return in Ryan story
Coronation Street favourite Kym Marsh won't be back on the cobbles any time soon, despite the life-changing acid nightmare her character's son Ryan is going through.
Last seen as Michelle Connor four years ago, when her cheating husband Robert Preston died, she's been living in Ireland ever since, but you'd expect as a worried mother she'd be back in town in a heartbeat.
Joining the Loose Women panel this week, Marsh was asked about the likelihood of Michelle showing her face again.

"I've been asked that question loads! Like, 'Where's Michelle, he needs her!'" she said.
"I do love the show so much. It gave me my start and I will always love it from the bottom of my heart, but at the moment I've been so lucky that I'm working and busy, and I've got too much to do yet, before Michelle."
Secret shock returns do crop up every now and again in soapland, though, so maybe take this response with a pinch of salt.

Marsh, who played Nicky Walters in the Waterloo Road revival, previously addressed the possibility of a Weatherfield comeback early last year.
"I love Coronation Street, it's where I started and it gave me the biggest part of my career," the star shared.
"I had wonderful times there, I made wonderful friends and I loved the character of Michelle, so I have no doubt I'll go back at some point – as long as they don't kill me off off-screen!"
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
