Yahoo News Corrie star Sam Aston reveals eight babies will join the cast
Sam Aston has said that eight babies are about to be unleashed on the Coronation Street set for Chesney and Gemma's quadruplets storyline.
Yes... we know that's double the amount of four, just bear with us.
As the actor explained during an appearance on This Morning, this intimidating number of loud little humans has something to do with filming rotation and needing doubles for babies on set.
Revealing this hectic behind-the-scenes insight to presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Monday (June 17), the Chesney actor said: "Normally when you have a baby, you have twins; I imagine you have to have double... so eight babies!"
But he then assured Holly and Phil that this big addition to the cast didn't faze him, adding: "I am an uncle to 15 so I'm used to chaos!"
Meanwhile, Sam and his new wife Briony were kind enough to give fans a glimpse of their romantic Maldives honeymoon last month.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
