Corrie viewers are delighted Neil has been caught

It was a huge night for Bethany Platt in this evening's (July 21) Coronation Street as Neil finally got arrested for his involvement in her horrific abuse.

Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) managed to record a confession out of his mentor and vowed to use it to ensure Neil and Nathan get sent to jail for a very long time.

At Craig's insistence, Bethany phoned the police to report Neil and DC Leigh ensured her they will make sure the allegation was taken seriously.

Viewers were so happy that Neil is finally being investigated and her ordeal is one step closer to being over.

On a much sweeter note, fans have been desperate for Bethany and Craig to fall in love for ages now as he's been the best, best mate by being there for her and reminding her how "amazing" she is.

However, now it's clear that Craig definitely has feelings for Bethany, people were simply ecstatic about it.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
