Yahoo News Corrie's grooming plot takes another twist next week
Coronation Street teen Bethany Platt is drawn further into Nathan Curtis's web next week as she gets a contraceptive implant to keep him happy.
Bethany (Lucy Fallon) is being groomed by Nathan and spent the night at his flat last week, totally unaware that he's making dark plans to "pimp her out" to his friends in a shock sex ring storyline.
Next week's Corrie episodes see the dark plot continue as Nathan's assistant Mel continues to manipulate Bethany on his behalf.
Playing on Bethany's desperate desire to please Nathan, scheming Mel warns her that the last thing he'd want is for her to get pregnant.
Bethany is curious when Mel suggests that she should consider having a contraceptive implant as a precaution.
The schoolgirl later goes ahead and follows Mel's "advice", feeling very grown-up as she still thinks that she's in an ordinary relationship.
However, when Sarah (Tina O'Brien) snatches her daughter's phone and invites Nathan round for dinner, Bethany is brought back down to earth as she knows that Sarah will think he's much too old for her when they come face-to-face.
Bethany is mortified as Sarah tells her about the message she left on Nathan's phone inviting him round for tea, but is there any way of getting out of it?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 1 and Friday, March 3 on ITV.
