It's one of Newcastle's most popular bars and Cosy Joes could soon be bringing its party vibes to a new location, with owners teasing that the city centre favourite is going on tour to sunnier climes.

In the same premises in the Groat Market, previously occupied by the likes of Macy's and Rewind, Cosys has earned itself a place in the hearts of many Geordies, thanks to its seven days a week party policy, epic soundtrack and love for karaoke. Whether its on a match day or a sports social night for the universities, Cosy Joes is adored by everyone from football supporters to students and stags to hens.

Even Newcastle United stars headed there to party last year after the Magpies clinched Champions League qualification and now a much wider audience could soon be getting an injection of Cosys magic, as a post on the bar's social media channels hinted at a trip to pastures new.

The post, which appeared on Monday afternoon and carrying Jet 2 style colours announced that 'Exciting news' was coming, as the caption read: "Summer 2024 we're ready for you" along with an aeroplane emoji.

Given that people have taken photos of themselves wearing Cosy Joes t-shirts and hoodies while they're on holiday abroad, the world could well be Cosy's oyster.

Keeping an eye on things closer to home, Cosys is hoping to be the scenes of much celebration this Wednesday night, as Newcastle take on Man United, hoping to steal a further march on their Premier League rivals and secure European football for next season.
