WILTSHIRE Council has issued an update on the Travellers at the London Road Park and Ride car park.

The group settled earlier this week, with caravans, trucks, cars and tents.

Cllr Nick Holder, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: “We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at London Road Park and Ride in Salisbury and our enforcement officers will visit the site in line with the required procedures.”

A spokesperson Wiltshire Police added: "This is a civil matter which is being managed by Wiltshire Council.

"We have not received any related reports of criminal matters."
