A Coventry pub has been hailed for having the 'best Sunday dinner in the area' and going the 'extra mile' for customers. The Millpool in Hipswell Highway has picked up rave reviews on Tripadvisor.

According to the website, it has received four and a half stars out of five in all areas - from food to service, value and atmosphere. Reviews left on the site, including one who said it has the 'best Sunday dinner in the area'.

The reviewer said: "Great service and best Sunday dinner in the area . Big thank you to Jamie for finding a table for us on a busy bank holiday Sunday. Special mention to Abbie for her excellent bar service."

Another hailed it for being an 'amazing' venue for a baby shower. "What a day it was. The room, service and food was amazing. Thank you so much. Everyone commented how amazing the food was."

In another review, a visitor said: "Fresh home cooked food. Can't beat the staff. I frequently visit with friends and have never had a bad meal. Booked in last night with family 16 of us food was excellent.. service brilliant as always highly recommend."

It is not just locals who have sung its praises, another reviewer said: "We live in Rugby and was our first visit as we where just passing absolutely amazing so friendly and food was brilliant and service could not want for anything."

The pub is ranked as ninth best in Coventry according to reviews on Tripadvisor.
