Coventry's only lap-dancing club has revealed plans to move. Club Heat has been based in City Arcade in the city centre for years,

But an application to the city council has revealed that the gentleman's club is set to move. Ace Coventry Limited has applied for a sexual entertainment venue licence at 2 Hertford Place, Coventry.

This is because the current lap-dancing club, which was home to the old The Bug and Black Bat, has to move. The application explains says it 'needs to move due to compulsory purchase. This application is as a result of the relocation."

It states that the licence is for 'Lap dance, pole dance, strip tease and entertainment of alike kind, on stage and in exclusive dance areas'. It says that it will be open Mondays to Sundays 6pm until 6am.

The application was the subject of a public consultation, which came to an end at the end of last month. Now the council will make a decision if the application is granted.

City Arcade is one of the parts of the city centre that's set to be redeveloped under the City Centre South scheme.
