Coventry trains stopped due to 'two men on the railway station roof'

Coventry train services had to be stopped as two people stood on the station roof. British Transport Police officers from Coventry and Birmingham as well as police were called into action at the station yesterday (June 24).

Police cars were spotted outside the station and officers raced to get to two people,who were stood on the station roof.

As a result, one line at the station had to stop running trains. British Transport Police's Birmingham's Disruption Team reported that two men were eventually brought down.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the team said that, as a result, one man was detained under the Mental Health Act. Another was arrested on suspicion of obstruction of the railway.
