Creetown eased through to the semi-finals of the Cree Lodge Cup on Saturday.

They recorded a comfortable 5-0 win over Lochmaben.

Jamie Adams’ side were 3-0 up at the break thanks to goals from John Lowe, Shay Meagher and Dean Agnew.

And a Josh Rennie second-half double sealed their progress.

Adams said: “We played some really good stuff, we started the game well, got our goals and could have had a few more. It was very pleasing because I brought in a lot of boys who maybe haven’t played as much in the last few games and they did well. The boys’ attitude was spot on and the result and performance was brilliant.

“I made subs at half-time to give boys minutes.

“It was 5-0 and it could have really been seven or eight without being disrespectful. Lochmaben tried their best and didn’t give up.”

Creetown’s reward is a semi-final against Dalbeattie Star on May 13.

Before then, the sides meet at Castle Cary Park on Wednesday with the winner being crowned South of Scotland League champs.
