Crews Deice Planes as Snowstorm Slams Denver Area

Crews deiced planes at Denver International Airport on Thursday, March 14, as a winter storm blasted the Denver area.

“While the storm hasn’t (yet) been felt at DEN nearly as much as other parts of the Front Range, our operations and maintenance teams have been busy pre-treating runways and deicing planes,” the airport said.

Snowfall rates are expected to increase through Thursday evening, bringing up to 10 more inches of snow to the Denver metro area, weather officials said. Credit: Denver International Airport via Storyful
